I wonder if you can help to confirm our understanding of VISA requirements for entry into Vietnam. As UK citizens we are not normally required to have a visa for entry/exit at the airport but I'm not sure if a visa is required for entry via a landport. Do you know whether this is the case or not.

I have only first name in passport. I have got flights done with first name in both first name and last name fields. How should I write it in visa application of vietnam? I have also heard that airlines like air asia can stop you in case you dont have a surname even if you have a visa. What is the ideal way to proceed?

My sons visa says it need a better photo and mine says it needs the blank areas filled. I’m unable to update these requirements.

There is no port of entry on the e-visa, we fly auckland to hanoi so I put hanoi as port of entry on the application form. we stop first in ho chi minh and then fly to hanoi. Will it be a problem ? There is no port of entry on the e-visa we have received, but it does say hanoi on our dash board.

I have already asked about the single entry visa and been told that I will need to apply for a multiple entry visa to enter Vietnam, fly to Cambodia, then return to Vietnam. As I already have a single entry visa for entry into Vietnam, may I also apply for another single entry visa to enter Vietnam from Cambodia? My wife and I will visit Vietnam in March, our plan is to visit Hanoi, then go to Cambodia and return in 4 days to Vietnam, to Ho Chi Minh. I have three questions:

2 - When filling out the visa application form there is a question about date of entry and date of departure - are these the dates of first entry and last exit from Vietnam?

I'm Brazilian and I have a 2nd. nationality (Portugal). In the form I informed that I have a 2nd. valid passport (Portugal) and completed the Portuguese passport details.

Our question is: Can we enter Vietnam with a singel oneway ticket or do we must have departure ticket from vietnam before we enter vietnam? We are bagpacking and will only stay in vietnam for 7-10.

We arrive from the US at the Ho Chi Minh airport at 0635 hours and plan to catch a separate 1300-hours flight to Cambodia (not planning to leave the airport). "Suspension of visa waiver for UK citizens; The Vietnamese government has suspended the visa waiver programme for UK citizens with effect of 12 March 2020"

I’m arriving to Phu Quoc and planning to travel across Vietnam Mainland for ~ 2 weeks, after i will depart home from Phu Quoc. Am I correct, that for Evisa purposes for Vietnam mainland I need 1 photo in .jpg format and scan of passport in .jpg format?

I(US Citizen) am due to enter Vietnam this July to begin my two year contract as an Elementary School Teacher at an International School in Hanoi. My same-sex partner (Mongolian citizen) and I currently live in Mongolia, but want to make the shift and try something new. I understand that I may be able to extend my existing visa for an additional 30 days through a visa agency such as yours and not have to leave the country. Hello, we are travelling to malaysia from london heathrow and have a 4 stopover in hanoi. We then will be spending 11 days in Vietnam, including entry and exit. So based on this we do not require to apply for a visa. I have already been approved for a single entry visa and I am currently in Vietnam, travelling around for 2 weeks. I then fly out to Bangkok and Singapore and then I transit back through Ho Chi Minh on the 27th February 2020 before flying out to Tokyo. I will not be leaving Ho Chi Minh airport but because I will be flying in with one airline and flying out with another, I will need to go through immigration and then check back in again. Do I need to apply for another visa or should my already approved single entry visa be okay? It is valid till the 4th March 2020. I have been to Hong Kong for four days and left on January 26th, and plan to come back in Vietnam on February 10th (so 12 days apart). I would like to know if there are any restrictions in this case to obtain a visa and re-enter the Vietnamese territory (vis-a-vis the coronavirus outbreak)?

I'm traveling to Vietnam for 2 weeks (will get VOA), then I leave to Japan for 10 days and come back to Vietnam just for a connection flight (5 hours on Ha Noi Airport) with final destination to New Delhi, India. Hi, I have a double nationality Vietnamese and French. My Vietnamese passport is expired, so I must enter in Vietnam by French passport on 29 January 2020.

Hello, I just booked flights for a trip to Vietnam in March and I'm trying to determine the correct visa/letter to get, but the fact that I'm flying directly to Phu Quoc is posing a challenge.

Here is my itinerary...
- Fly from Los Angeles to Seoul to Phu Quoc
- Stay in Phu Quoc for four days
- Fly from Phu Quoc to Saigon to Siem Reap, Cambodia (not staying in Saigon, just transferring)
- Stay in Siem Reap for two days
- Fly from Siem Reap to Saigon
- Stay in Saigon for two days
- Travel throughout Vietnam (total time from initial arrival in Phu Quoc: 20 days)
- Fly from Hanoi to Seoul to Los Angeles

Since Phu Quoc is not a major port, I cannot get a approval letter for a stamp there, but I learned that Phu Quoc has a visa exemption, so it sounds like the first leg of this trip shouldn't be an issue. Now I'm wondering the following...

- Should I get a multi-entry visa, since I will be flying into Saigon on my way to Siem Reap, then flying back from Siem Reap to Saigon?
- Should I get a single entry visa, since I will only be transferring through Saigon, so the official entry for visa purposes would be the second arrival for my stay in Saigon, after which I'll be staying in Vietnam nonstop until my final departure?

I didn't realize this would be so confusing when I originally purchased the tickets, so I sincerely appreciate your help!

We planned to go from Cambodia to Vietnam tomorrow crossing the land border close to Ha Tien. We applied for the e-visa on 25th of Jan but so far got no response. I realised that Vietnamese got like 4 extra holidays due to Vietnamese New Year. That may be the cause? Is there anyway to go to Phu Quoc tomorrow on the Land way, e.g. getting Visa exemption as we are German and the tourist visa via e-Visa later?

I applied for and received a single entry Visa for my flight to Vietnam on February 8th. Originally we were going to stay from Feb 8th-22nd.

It appears that my fiancee and I will need to travel to Thailand on the 12th-15th of Feb, and then return to Vietnam on the 15th until the 22nd.

I need to know that if we get the Pre- approval letter to Vietnam airport,will they provide sticker visa on passport or will just simply stamp on the airport?

On the 11th of December I left London to spend Christmas and New Year with my son in Australia. I took a two night stopover in Hanoi on way and three night stopover in Ho Chi Minh on my return. My travel agent told me that I did not require a visa as I was not staying in Vietnam for the required fifteen days. However, on my return, at check in at Sydney on 6th Jan for flight VN772 to Ho Chi Minh, I was informed that I did in fact require a visa. I was told that there was a clause stating that a visa is needed if you leave Vietnam but return within 31 days. I eventually managed to do this by paying 250 Australian Dollars in cash to a member of your staff there. By this time all check in desks had closed. The lady I gave the money to said she would sent the receipt details to Immigration and then they could send the visa to my phone via WhatsApp. While she did that, another staff member found me somewhere to check in when the visa came through on my phone. By this time my flight was already boarding, and in my panic to get my flight, I left without getting a copy of the recept for my money paid for the visa. I am now trying to make a claim on my travel company for the cost of the visa. Could you please send me a copy of my receipt, or some evidence that you actually received 250 dollars from me on that day. I have sent a WhatsApp message to the person who sent me the visa, but have had no response. I would really appreciate your help. Thank you. Marilyn Kirby.

I am Sri Lankan and kindly advice as to which site i should use. The cost per person varies between the two.
The first site requests for additional documents. If this is the correct site, kindly let me know as to how to upload the documents, as there is no separate place to upload.
