We will be visiting Vietnam ports on a cruise and would like to know if the visa can be acquired at the port or do we have to apply for a visa prior to arrival.

Thank you for your question.
We would like to inform that you cannot use the visa approval letter to get a visa stamp at the border by sea. Because this letter is only valid at Vietnam airport and you have to enter Vietnam by plane. In case, you will travel to Vietnam by cruise, please contact to Vietnam Embassy in your living country to get your visa before coming to Vietnam.
