Can I apply for visa on my old passport number?

I am visiting Ho chi min on 7th Feb. and I need a visa for a month. I have an Indian passport, pages are nearly over. I have to make a new passport when I go to India (right now I am working outside India) Can I apply for visa on my old passport number and travel to Vietnam with the New passport. I will carry the old passport with me when travelling for proof.

Thanks for your mail.

 

We are pleased to inform that you should renew your passport and then apply visa and you cannot use old passport to apply and then enter with new passport. We work all time, even though Tet holiday
