Cruise 2 ports of entry
Sep 06, 2018
I sent this question to you:
“We are on a cruise in January 2019 that calls into Phu My (for Ho Chi Minh) on the 26th and then Chan May (for Hue/Danang) on 28th. Do we need a multi entry visa or can we use a single entry and for 2nd visit use the 15 day exemption. Can this be done by e-visa.”
and your reply was that we could use the 15 day visa exemption.
I thought that only applied if you did not enter Vietnam within 30 days. As stated above our cruise enters one port for one day, leaves then re-enters 2days later at another port. So does the 15 day still apply?
Many thanks

Vietnam Evisa Support
Sep 06, 2018
Dear Sir/Madam,
We would like to confirm you that according to the Vietnam Immigration's new policy, from July 1, 2015 to June 30th 2021, Great Britain, France, Spain, German, Italy and Belarus do not need a visa as long as their stay is not more than fifteen days, and they do not re-enter Vietnam within thirty days of leaving it for the first time. This visa exemption is affected for all ports.
If you just travel within Vietnam, the single entry visa should be enough.
Thanks,
Anna Lily (Ms.)
