Do I need to apply the visa to Vietnam after I already had my Eva air ticket?

I born in VN and became a US citizen on 1987, I bought an Eva air ticket online to visit VN 3 weeks, the Eva airline got my passport number and issued a ticket for me already between October 24th 2017 to VN and back to USA on November 15th 2017, now do I need to apply a visa to enter VN or just get the visa stamping at the airport in Ho Chi Minh city when arriving, please advised, thanks!

We would like to inform that you need to obtain a Vietnam visa. You can go to the Vietnam Embassy to apply for a visa, or you can apply with us for visa on arrival. When arriving at the Vietnam airport, please prepare cash for stamping fee payment.
