Dual Citizen Entering Vietnam

Mar 19, 2025
Hello,
I currently hold the status of dual citizenship between Philippines & US. I had recently booked my trip to Vietnam later on this year with my US passport through the airlines.

My plan was to use my Philippine passport to show at immigration upon entering Vietnam since no Visa is required. I’m wondering if there will be an issue at immigration if I present my Philippine passport but used my US passport to book the airfare?

Dear Josh,

Thank you for reaching us.
There is no problem if you book the airfare with your US passport. You just need to show the US passport and the Philippine passport to board the plane.
Upon arrival, presenting your Philippine passport to the Immigration officer to enter Vietnam.

Best regards,
Heidi Phan (Ms.)
