Entry into Vietnam within 7 days of first visit
Entry into Vietnam within 7 days of first visit
Together with my husband we have applied, and been accepted for a tourist visa entry into Vietnam on 29th August for 7 days, application 4637577481. Ive also paid the Vietnam Fee but reading later as a UK citizen I should be 15 day exempt and not charged. I wasnt alerted to this in my application, the fee was taken?
In another article I read that if I re enter Vietnam (which we will do after a 5 day stay in Laos), then if I’m correct I must then apply for a tourist Visa as the 15 day exemption doesn’t apply on a revisit within 30 days is this correct?
Thank you Susan Angenent
Dear Susan Angenent,
Vietnam offers 15-day visa exemptions with single entry for visitors from the U.K.. However, their
passports should have at least six months of validity upon the date of arrival to meet airlines’
requirements, and their arrival date is NOT within 30 days from their last exit date with visa exemption.
Otherwise, they will need a Vietnam visa.
If you stay more than 15 days please apply for Vietnam visa for the first entry.
A gap of at least 30 days between two visa-free visits is required. so if you re - enter Vietnam after 5 days you shoud apply for visa.
For your case please email us for more information.
