We are on a celebrity cruise and were advised that the exit port in Vung Tau. We have the e- visa for Vietnam but the exist say ho chin mi . Will I have any problems existing Vietnam

The Vietnam E-Visa now is valid at all eligible ports.
Therefore, you CAN use it to exit Vietnam via Vung Tau seaport instead of Ho Chi Minh without any issues.
