Hello, I'll be travelling from cambodia to vietnam next month and I'll be crossing by a land border. I'll be around 3 weeks in Vietnam max. If I apply for the e-visa do I need to know beforehand the exact date of my arrival and the border I'll be crossing, or can I enter a date prior to my arrival so the e-visa will be "valid" on the day of the crossing ?

You can apply electronic visa at our webiste https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-e-visa.html
With this visa, you have to know exactly arrival port which enter Vietnam since it is just valid to enter this port only
The arrival date is also important as your visa will be valid on that date and you couldn't enter Vietnam before it

We are entering Vietnam from Cambodia by Land crossing boarder and will be staying in Ho Chi Minh for 1 week, do we still need a visa?
