Hi,
a) I understand the approval letter is just if I arrive to the airport? What about by land?
b) I need to enter a specific date or I have a range?

Dear Sir/Madam, 

If you enter to Vietnam by land, you can apply visa at the Vietnam Embassy. And you can give the estiamted date.
