I will be travelling to vietnam arriving on the 10/5/18. How long in advance can i apply for my approval letter so i can get a visa on arrival? Thank you.

Please note that UK passport can have 15 days visa exemption if you did not enter Vietnam for 30 days before (Your passport valid for at least 6 month).
If you stay longer, please apply for visa on arrival at https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-visa.html.
Normally, it will take 2 working days to process Tourist Visa only
