A few of us will be on a cruise, and we are landing in 4 ports in Vietnam over a number of days. The first port is Phu My. If we apply the travel visa online and receive the approval letter, should we get our passport stamps in the Vietnam embassy prior to our cruise departure or can we get our passport stamps in the port in Phu My where the cruise docks?

We would like to inform you that Canadian passport holders should obtain a Vietnam visa at the embassy if they wish to enter Vietnam by land or sea. It is because Visa on arrival is eligible for air travel only.
