Hi, I have a question. If I indicate a certain date of arrival on my letter application, but if I change my plans and arrive at a later date is this a problem? Will I get my 90 day visa as of the day I arrive?

Thank you for your question,
Related to your concerning, we are pleased to reply that you totally can enter to VN whenever you want in the period of time you are permitted with 3 month Visa. It will not be a problem at all.
For example, your Visa is valid from Dec 01 to Mar 01 2015 ( 3 months ), you can enter to VN in exactly Dec 01 or later but before Mar 01 2015!
