I am flying from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh (transit only) and finally to Da Nang by air. Do I need to clear immigration in Ho Chi Minh or Da Nang? I am expected to take my bags in Ho Chi Minh and check in again for the flight to Da Nang

you have to get your visa to Ho CHi Minh first, and then take the domestic flight to Da Nang.
