Visa for Vietnam

Mar 27, 2019
Hi,

I'm very confused about whether I need a visa to visit Vietnam or not.
I'm a UK citizen who will go to Vietnam for one week for tourism. The UK Government website said I can stay there for up to 15 days without a visa but last time I visited Hanoi for 4 days, I needed a visa.

Please clarify the situation for me,

Thank you,

Christian

Dear Christian,

Thanks for your question,

Firstly, Citizens of the united kingdom won't need a visa if staying for fewer than 15 days. However, the previous visit must be far from the next one at least 30 days. In addition, the passport must be valid at least 6 months.

In case, you visited Vietnam(Ha Noi ) before, but the next entry to Vietnam is not far from the first time 30 days, you can not use exemption of entry visa to Vietnam. And you need to make a new one to entry Vietnam.

You can follow as link to apply visa : https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-visa.html

And this is fee link to your reference: https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/visa-fee/united-kingdom.html
