We will be arriving by cruise ship on the 29th August just for the day what visa do I need to have please.

Hi, 

We would like to confirm that The online visa (or Visa on arrival) is just accepted if you are travelling by plane only. If you enter to Vietnam by cruise, you should apply visa at the Vietnam Embassy/Consulate Office in your country.
