Hello. I will be traveling from Los Angeles to Ho Chi Minh City within next 2 months, date to be determined. Do I need to know the exact dates of entry and exit before I apply? If I need to stay longer due to business would that require a different process? Thank you and happy Tet. :)

Thanks for your question!
You can enter Vietnam after the entry date which you put when you apply visa without any problem but must leave before or on the expired date on your visa. In case you want to stay longer after your visa is expired without leaving Vietnam, you can extend your visa while you are in Vietnam
