Hi, I am emailing to try and get information regarding a visa upon arrival. I'm a British Citizen, am I entitled to just arrive at Hanoi Airport with no Visa and fill out an entry form for a VOA for a standard $45 fee, along with 2 passport stamps and have my visa approved there and then, or is it mandatory that you must have these pre approved checks done. I have read several websites where it all gets rather confusing for me. I will await patiently. Regards Jon

We are pleased to inform that You can get visa on arrival, that is, you can get visa directly at the airport.But you must have a pre- approval letter for boarding plane and also use it to get visa stamp at the airport. Let me explain more for you : Before you enter into Vietnam, you have prepare some things : 2 photos, stamping fee, entry and exit form and an pre- approval letter.
If you don't have the pre- approval letter before you arrive in Vietnam , you can not board the plane as well as you will not allow to enter into Vietnam.
