    Visa for Vietnam

    Oct 21, 2024
I wonder if you can help to confirm our understanding of VISA requirements for entry into Vietnam. As UK citizens we are not normally required to have a visa for entry/exit at the airport but I'm not sure if a visa is required for entry via a landport. Do you know whether this is the case or not.

    Dear Anisha,

    Thank you for reaching us.

We would like to inform you that the UK passport holders are exempted from Vietnam Visa for a period of stay up to 45 days.

If your stay in Vietnam is no more than 45 days, you can enter Vietnam without a Visa via any ports even a landport.

You just need to show your passport (valid for at least 6 months) at the landport checkpoint to enter Vietnam.

    Best regards,

    Heidi Phan (Ms.)

    Single versus multiple entry

    Feb 28, 2024
I already have a single entry visa for the month of March. We will be leaving Vietnam to fly to Cambodia then returning to Vietnam. I’m now questioning whether I chose the correct visa. if I have chosen the incorrect visa, is there a way to correct it before I get to Vietnam? Thank you in advance for your response.

    Dear Tamara Marshall,

Thank you for your attention to our website.

Arccording to your itinerary, you will enter Vietnam 2 times, so you need a multiple-entry Visa.

The E-Visa once applied, you cannot amend the entry information. You need to apply for the new multiple-entry E-Visa now to get it before your departure date.

Or you can use your single entry E-Visa to enter Vietnam firstly. Then fly to Cambodia and apply for the new single E-Visa, once it is issued, you can use it to return Vietnam.

You can apply for the new E-Visa with us at this link https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-visa.html

We can process the E-Visa in 3 working days, 2 working days and 1 working days if you are in rush.

    Best regards,

    Heidi Phan (Ms.)

    Multiple entry Visa

    Jan 22, 2024
My wife and I will visit Vietnam in March, our plan is to visit Hanoi, then go to Cambodia and return in 4 days to Vietnam, to Ho Chi Minh. I have three questions:
1 - I understand that we need a multiple entry visa, correct?
2 - When filling out the visa application form there is a question about date of entry and date of departure - are these the dates of first entry and last exit from Vietnam?
3 - Likewise, there is the question regarding arrival port and exit checkpoint, do I fill in the first airport of entry and the last airport of departure?
    Thanks

    Dear Paulo Biamino,

Thank you for your attention to our website.

We would like to answer your queries below:

    1. Yes. According to your itinerary, you need a multiple-entry Visa.
    2. Yes. The arrival date is the date of your first entry in Vietnam (in Hanoi as your itinerary), and exit date is the last date you in Vietnam (in Ho Chi Minh as your itinerary)
    3. Yes. You can fill in the first airport of entry and the last airport of departure. In case you change your plane and will enter or depart from another airport, the E-Visa is also eligible for it. With the E-Visa, you can enter and exit Vietnam via any international airport.

To apply for the E-Visa, please go to this link https://www.vietnam-evisa.org/apply-visa.html

    Best regards,
