CultureHA NOI - HUONG PAGODA
Huong Pagoda is famous not only for its scenic landscape but also for its sacredness in the religious culture of Vietnamese people. Unlike other spiritual sites, Huong Pagoda possesses a good combination of temples, pagodas, mountains and forest; or in other words, a vast landscape complex with the harmony of nature and artificial construction. Passing historical up and down over multiple centuries, the Pagoda has carved its image in the mind and the heart of Vietnamese people, who are looking for a peace in soul and put their belief in sacred Buddhism.
Itineraries
Tour guide welcomes at guest’s hotel, depart to visit:
Huong Pagoda is 60 km south from Ha Noi. This is the biggest pagoda complex in Vietnam, hosting the Huong Festival (a Buddhist event that lasts from the first to the third month of the lunar calendar). All year round, you can enjoy the marvelous scenery along the Yen River as well as the historical grandeur of the pagoda complex. On the way, if you fancy an invigorating work-out, you can row the boat yourself.
- 07:40 - 08:30 Begin with pickup at your hotel in Hanoi, and travel into the countryside by air-conditioned bus. Enjoy views of rural communities as the city traffic gives way to fields and villages, then disembark at Yen Vi Wharf, where you’ll board a boat on the Yen Vi River.
- Take a 50 minutes boat ride along the riverside to enjoy the beautiful landscape of streams and paddy fields. Start hiking up to a unique pagoda inside Huong Tich cave on the mountain summit (2.5km in height). You will have a feeling of entering The holy land of Buddhism while experience the breath-taking views of surroundings.
- 12:30 Go back down and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant nearby. Visit Thien Tru Pagoda. Board the boat back to Duc Dock and return Hanoi.
- 18:30 Arrive in Hanoi. Get dropped off at your morning places. Tour ends.
